The kitchen is headed up by Michelin-trained chef Sidy Kounta and serves seasonal menus based around quality British ingredients.

The food is both elegant and comforting, taking quality fresh ingredients from the best producers and treating them with respect.

Sidy and his team have created carefully thought-out menus suited to all times of day, with light and healthy weekday lunch dishes, hearty breakfast dishes at the weekend and a refined evening menu of brasserie classics and modern British plates.

The Phene is equally famous for a fantastic Sunday Lunch, typically with five roast options and a lovingly made bone-marrow gravy.

The bar at The Phene focuses on local craft beers and a carefully curated list of wines, with a great selection available by-the-glass. There is a range of signature cocktails on offer, or the bar team will happily make you something classic.

VEGAN & VEGGIE FRIENDLY

The Phene is well known for its strong vegetarian and vegan offerings, having gone completely vegan for a week in both 2017 and 2018 and always has a wide selection of dishes for coeliacs and those avoiding gluten.
